We're looking for a Mid-level Visual Designer to help us create groundbreaking visual concepts for our interactive products and take our work to new heights with their creativity and feel for motion and understanding of motion and brand identity.
Can you help inspire our team to craft beautiful designs that resonate with people? Apply and let us know how your creativity and skills will impact the team and projects we work on.
CLEVER°FRANKE is an enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team of 40 + people with 12+ nationalities from across the world. We are interaction designers, visual designers, developers, project managers, data analysts, and others. All with a passion for what we do. We are curious about the world around us and apply the same curiosity to our work and projects.
As a VISUAL DESIGNER, you combine creativity – conceptually and functionally – with an understanding of product, and data design. You grasp the impact of different visual styles on users and brand identity and leverage this in your concepts and designs. While evolving these concepts into a final interface design, you're the keeper of the brand look and feel and ensure all creativity is executed in the best possible way. You’re not only a great designer and storyteller but a confident presenter. You’re comfortable presenting intermediary designs during design review or kitchen review with a client, communicating the strength of your ideas convincingly.
You’re not only a great designer, but also a storyteller and communicator, as you take the client and others along convincingly in your concepts and ideas. You are eager to master this skill further as you grow as a designer.
Motion, both in 2D and 3D, often plays an important role in bringing our experiences to live. So, during the design process you consider and explore motion as well. For example for interface transitions (as with Voices from the Frontlines) or animated data visualizations (as with our Ookla product suite visualizations).
Being able to collaborate well with others is important to us. Not only with the project team but also with the client and their team. You are eager to listen to feedback and, based on it, experiment and try new approaches to adapt as needed. For this, you need to feel comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you can further learn and excel in your career, with the support of your colleagues.
WE'LL WELCOME YOU
You’re welcome at CLEVER°FRANKE regardless of your appearance, identity, or background. It’s not a place you have to 'fit in' but somewhere everyone can feel themselves and be their best to do their best.
Studies suggest that women, and others, tend to hesitate to apply for a job if their CV isn’t a perfect fit. Here, we look for talent and potential — not just formal experience and expertise. So if you like the role and think you could be awesome at it, go ahead and apply.
WE’LL GIVE YOU:
Full-time role (32-40 hours per week);
WE'LL SUPPORT YOU
We find it important that you grow and challenge yourself and want to ensure that you are supported in this. We offer training courses tailored to your experience level and needs, personal development planning and feedback, and an HR coach. About 3 times a year, we organize a C°F Development week where the entire studio fully focuses on personal and professional growth, outside of client projects.
WHAT YOU BRING:
We are looking for someone with a great feel for visual design, who goes beyond copying existing styles or brand guidelines. You have a sharp, analytical eye for quality, not just by design, but also by defining and communicating how your design fits the project, goals, and brand. You have a focus on digital solutions and a great understanding of user behavior.
You can not only apply your skills to static designs but also bring them to live in motion, with animated data visualizations, interface transitions and motion identities.
We expect you to be familiar with modern design software like Figma, Adobe CC (in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects), or similar, and be able to learn new software quickly. You are ambitious with a growth mindset and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are comfortable speaking and writing in English, which is our primary language for communication and collaboration.
We anticipate you will have around 4 years of professional experience.
NICE TO HAVES:
It would be great (but not required) if you have experience in one or more of the following:
Hit the button below. Send us your CV, portfolio and we'll ask you some questions to get to know you a little better.
If you successfully pass through our screening, we’ll invite you to the interview process, which entails two further conversations to ensure you get to know our culture and the role better, and to identify whether there is a fit from both of our sides.
